When the next Clio RS is out and its better than the 200 in every way im still gnna say the 200 is better untill i get then new one...oh wait im not.
I can understand people prefering the Vee as it is a really special 'Wrong' car that shouldnt have existed but how can anyone say the williams, 172 182 197 is better? They are all now out dated.
Its like saying the old focus RS is better than the new one.
If the NA engine had changed to a turbo or some big chang i could understand the argument i.e. the mini going from SC to TC and lots of people prefer the SC but the clio has only improved.

hmm.. obviously not then as you say so....the journey home from tweeks in matts car mustve been a figment of my imagination.....with me just sat in thin air making noises.


and lmao at all the newer is better s**t....get a grip ffs......newer in car terms is undoubtedly , pretty much same bhp, a lot heavier, a lot uglier, a lot less involving for the driver, moreso for the driver aids inbuilt in the car so any muppet can drive it relatively briskly, which it seems is a good job from some of the driving iv seen tbh.


the williams was/is special, an homolgomation special so that reno could take full advantage of the new rules allowing 2.0 cars in the rallies. the 172 was a full on production run, as was the 182, 197 and now 200 after it. to say the newer better stuff is still compared against the williams etc is a credit to reno themselves....would be even more credit if the newer stuff had actually bettered the older stuff...but hey...cant win em all

The Williams is rather like "One final wish before your killed and enter heaven or Hell!" Now this is fine for Jon, coz he's old, ugly and bald! But for me, I was to pretty and young to die. That’s why I sold mine!

In reality tho, the modern RS range is very capable, built with the consumer market in mind. The evolution of the RS range has only got stronger imo. NO new car will ever be as "involving" or raw as its predecessor ‘of age’, but that doesn't mean it's not as fun!

I could lap Caldwell faster in a Clio 197/200 than I could in the V6…But I got out the 197 and went Yawn! – NEXT.

its also like saying the new mini cooper is better than the old one, the original one. remember, like the beetle, this car was a way of getting a hell of a lot of people motoring relatively cheaply. hmmmm...of course, the new mini cooper betters that by being far too much money, having nowhere near the charm, the ability, the public appreciation, drivability, tuning scope, engineering breakthroughs etc etc etc as the older original version......better???? i think not.

Mini isnt liked as they have a totally different engine, the clios 'bar the vee' dont. Mini isnt liked cos of the turbo etc. The point about the mini not being better is fair tho
