What bad experience have you had with the DS2500 pads?

They're pretty dusty, so you need to clean up more often, but for doing the job of stopping you in a hurry they're pretty damn good.

Yeah carbon loraines are good. I recently tried Mintex 1155 and thought they were ace :)

Same sort of thing as James had them on my jdm STI before I switched to Performance friction and I'm not the only one roomer has it they have some sort of rubber in the pad that helps bite feel but builds up on the disc and gives the below feel
CL RC5+ for me.

Had DS2500 and 3000 in the past but kept getting pad deposits on track, giving it the warped disc feeling that I couldn't get rid of.

You don't get that with CL's.

I've just removed some Carbon Lorainne rc6e pads from my 182. The positives are the braking effort is amazing from cold and I had no real fade (on the road). However on the downsides;
1) I had a wheel bearing go very shortly after buying the car
2) The disk and pad wore down to the metal in less than 4k.
3) The caliper dust seal melted, refurbed caliper now being fitted this evening
4) The brake squeal was embarrassing
5) Both my front Turini's now need a total refurb.
6) My car seems covered in dark dust, might not be brake related but it needs claying to clean up.

The picture below is AFTER cleaning with wheel cleaner. The brake dust actually helps cover the iron oxide deposits.

It is possible they were not fitted properly and were getting too hot but I'm never using them again. I'm back to Ferodo ds2500 & Brembo HC disks which were a good (not great) compromise for my needs.

F"ck me lol they look rekt! How long did it take for them to get that bad?

Rc6 probably not suited for my needs was looking at the new rc5 but damm they need some iron x paste I found when I used my PF pads they dusted like hell but if I used a good couple of coats of decent wheel sealent it helped massively next problem was dust so hot it looked like it burnt the paint don't know if that's what was actuallying happening just gave that appearance willing to give ds2500 another try just that little niggle at the back of my mind
