best exhaust bore size

hi guys i currently have a ktr exhuast system fitted with a janspeed decat which sounds the nuts, but i will be fitting tb's in the next few weeks and im sure the ktr is 2.25'' whereas many people recommend a 2.5'' system?

wouldnt this be too loud with only one back box and decat?

what size is the manifold bore when it joins on the the downpipe?

any inputs would be great

I have an Orbisoud 60mm (that's sportscat included) and a Milltek 63.5mm decat(2.5"). I bought the Milltek because I was sure decat and 2.5" was going to be mucht better. That was a mistake.

Two weeks ago I took of the Milltek to replace again with the Orbisoud. The 60mm Orbisoud is defo better than the Milltek.

Today I had to replace it again with Milltek because wife became crazy from the sound!

This is my opinion for a non TB'd 182

What do you want, noise or driveability?

A smaller bore exhaust is quieter and gives better torque. A bigger bore is louder and gives better top-end horsepower.

arent mid range torque gains better than top end gains in bhp?
