Looking for some gearbox oil and got conflict of answers. NFJ 75-80 correct? And best to go with elf?
Not strictly true as some oil has additives that destroy synchro rings. Also a gl4 75/80 isn't the same as a gl5 75/80. The gl5 is slipperier.oil is oil. all the rest
is marketing..
drink some orange squash, ribena, or lemon.. all does the same thing..
providing you get the same viscosity as recommended all will be good
Everyday is a school day, or so they say! :up:i stand corrected... never to old to learn..
So is elf the best as not doing track days etc? And sump plug same as a 1.2 Clio?

You don't need to replace the sump plugs really, only the washers.
Well I got this one hanging around so wondered if I cud use It haha
Meh, gearbox isn't pressurised anyway, so i just re-use the washer and nip it up. Never had one leak in about 30 changes. You don't need to replace the sump plugs really, only the washers.

x3 and 5% off with NCDG5CUSOFF.
Then the washer is just a copper crush washer, Halfords do them if you want to quickly collect (code: HFX227) -
