best pads for minimal brake dust

  Clio 190bhp Hybrid

Just fitted Tarox pads along with G88 40 groove disks and pad dust very noticable. Saying that the grooves probably take a nice bite out of the pads!

If you dont want dust then dont get Ferrodos

I have just had Ferrodo pads fitted as my front ones needed replacing. They are a very good brake and work fantastically when cold but as a result leave a lot of dust on my nice alloys.

Dont think I would get them again, purely because of the amount of wheel cleaning required.

They do their job well though

Would have though the performance of the pads rather than the amount of dust they leave is more important.

Yeah Freed I know what you mean.

It depends on your prorities. My uncle is a mechanic and he swears by ferrodo. But like Fred says even short journeys mean loads of dust.

They are very good from old though - This morning I got in my car (it had been sat for a day without being driven) and as soon as I turned out onto the road where I live a big fat b@stard in a new Jag cut me up like a b**ch. I slammed the brakes on and my car stopped dead. No drama just stopped. Like I said work well when cold

well thinkin bout it a pad with a hard compound would give least dust but only work well when they get some heat in em

soft pad would work well from cold but give lots of dust

unless any1 knows differant

who cares about the dust?! The job is To Brake. When its done, Im happy with it.

On the other hand, seeing a dusted alloy gives the idea of hard braking... nice. :)
