Best place for a ext hard drive....?

Preferably in store as i'd like to get it this weekend... thinking of just popping to Apple.

500gb or more would be fine i reckon.

Any recommendations??

General consensus is that Seagate are poo then? lol

I've got the Seagate one (got it from Maplins at that price also) its been fine, quicker access than my WD MyBook that's for sure, works better with Vista and is quiet. I got it mainly because my mum decided she was going to buy it for me, so who was I to argue, but its great.

Staying away from the Seagate... seen some awful reviews...
Will go the Lacie route, just need to find a store that sells one before i go online. Want to backup thousands of photos and would be truly gutted if i lost them.
