Best Place for ITB's

I am looking to get a 172 Cup and do an ITB conversion. I've always wanted to do this but never really had the money.

If anyone has any experiences or could recommend somewhere to get this done I would be grateful.

Cheers.

There is one place you should defo not go, unless you wanna be £5k poorer, waiting 16 months and then get your car back in peices, with parts missing.

i got a pretty good quote from GDI too, told me takes 3-4 days and you get a courtesy car too.

Sounds like GDI is the place to go then.

Just had a look at their website, whats happened to it? I'm sure when I looked at it about 18 monts ago there was a lot more info than that!

GDi certainly have the most experience. More hassle than it's worth tho! You find that most TB'd cars are kept for mere months and shunted on.

It's a fairly serious modification. The cars no longer point and go. Anyone who says it is, is lyin tbh!

Not really true

Our ITB car runs perfect starts perfect idles perfect. only reason ours is not used day to day is its a pure track car.

Ours is a GDI kit, fitted in our garage by us then mapped by paul at RStuning.

True! It's the classic story...The more you do, the better it goes, but to a certain degree the more you worry and wish it was std again! I speak'th from experience...

I've not had ITB's, but can't help noticing that a lot of cars have them, get finished, then get sold.

Oh don't get me wrong. i'd still have them LOL...But i'm a nutter! ;)

Of late, i've changed my opinion. Cosmetics go for it...Suspension & brakes too...But if you want a faster car buy one...
