I've been using turtle wax bumper and tyre gel (left over from last car) and its pretty decent. Smells awesome too, I'd buy it again just for that... Just dont get it in your eye

You need to remove the white residue otherwise no treatment will hide these. Pencil eraser or peanut oil or a good scrub with a household all purpose cleaner.

as for treatment you won't find much worth the money in halfords, most will wash off in the morning dew, especially the autoglym offerings, look nice until the weather forecast predicts rain and it'll be washing off before you even know it's raining.

a decent dressing like autofinesse revive, carpro Perl, chemical guys new look trim dresssing are worth waiting a few days for delivery, spend this time on cleaning and prepping

They are faded white'ish, its not polish. Should have said that sorry.

Ended up buying some cheap s**t out of asda and avoided halfords.

Ill get some proper stuff now, unless i can get them wrappee/painted gloss black. Save me the hassle and money buying back to black s**t!

Thanks all.

so just to clarify because this is my absolute pet hate in cars , basic peanut oil ? As in

or a simple rubber for pencil will help? I'm going to get some of the autofinesse as well :)

Something like smooth peanut butter from the supermarket will be fine, chunky gets a bit in the way

but I personally will try a pencil rubber first as this will help remove the old residue and be less messy.

if it is just faded and not residue then give them a good scrub with an all purpose cleaner, Tesco daisy for 99p is fine, and try a good dressing like those mentioned

I hate to argue but as my previous post, the AG dressing runs and hides at the hint of rain.

looks nice, sh1t durability

It may make it looks nice and black and glossy but it will not last very long and leave it with too much greasy residue for my liking.

AF Revive is what I currently use... Nice satin finish after one simple rub on/rub off application.
