I recommend winamp tbh, its much better than windows media player it does not seem to hog as much resources as wmp does.

I need something that can be minimised to the toolbar and still have controls.

I might get media player 11.

Seems like only media player will do what i want of it. Foobar just minimises to a tab and not controls.

Foobar looks okay but it wont change tracks without the application being in focus with media keys. iTunes and WMP both allow you to skip thought tracks when the app is minimised which is a must for me.

like i said just right click on foobar in systray to skip tracks etc

Or download the FoxyTunes plug in for Firefox and it just sits on the bottom bar and you don't have to change windows.

Winamp does this.. Dunno how to achieve it because it was a work mate that did it. But it can be done and is a great program.

Use iTunes.. To get the controls to appear on the Toolbar, Right click on the Toolbar, Goto the top and click where it says 'Toolbars' Should have options for iTunes once installed, Click to tick, open iTunes and then minimise and it will show in the toolbar..

Edit: Also works for Windows Media Player
