Best sky packages

Is sky.com the best place to get sky packages?

My mum wants sky at her house and she's said she's seen some £75 thing in currys or something. You basically get the sky box and dish and free sky for 6 months on certain channels then you get the option to renew after 6 months with subscription to channels. If you don't renew you still get to keep the box and dish.

I've looked on sky.com and she can have 4 selections for £18 a month and its a £30 installation fee. Is there anyway to avoid the installation fee? I'm sure i've heard of people having free installation and free box.

I think free installation is an offer they do now and again. I know when we joined we didn't pay a penny for installation or box.

The standard box is free but if your mum wants a + or HD one then she'll have to pay.

Free Sky+ box and free installation for example.. (That was last years Christmas offer)

Can do, or find someone with Sky who can recommend you? Usually get better pricing.. dunno what offers there are currently though?

i've just given in and ordered Sky+ as i could only receive about 1% of the channels. They wanted me to pay £65 call out, so another 65 and i've got sky+

Ive just rang up and pretended to be him. They rang up my mum at the same time haha.

We get £30 m&s vouchers each, they wouldn't let go of the £30 installation fee though or upgrade to sky+ for free. Bunch of tossers.

Well I suppose £60 worth of vouchers if better than nothing.

When I got the Free Box and Free installation offer, they STILL tried to make me pay installation and get vouchers..

"Uh, I want free box and installation like the offer says"
"Er.. you won't get vouchers then?"
"I don't care.."
"OK, so free box and free installation.."
