My father is thinking of buying a soft roader.
Narrowed search down to 4 models,

1. Freelander.

2. Honda CRV.

3. Rav 4.

4. Nissan X-Trail.

Which is the better/worse buy and why

What about a Suburu Forester my parents have one and its a good soft off roader.

From your list Id forget the Freelander as you want the car to stay on the road not off the road in the dealerships. The Nissan would also be out my uncle has one and it is the biggest problem every possible they make some of the worst Renaults on here look good for build quality and normal driving.
