Best Wax for £100

  R14 CUP
What would be the best wax i could get for a Mondial Blue 172?

Zymol Glasur?
Swissvax BOS?
Dodo Supernatural?

Any others im missing?

Onyx was one i have been considering - have read very good things about it?

Can you buy Swissvax from any other suppliers?

Are there any other good products in Swissvax range - i already have Autobahn, wheel wax.

  Turbo'd MX-5 MK4
Onyx is VERY good, you used to be able to buy it elsewhere but things changed and you can ONLY buy it from Swissvax directly now. I need to buy more myself.

If you want to spend the full 100 then BOS. If not then suggest you stick with Onyx. Are you likely to tell the difference? Probably not.

Onyx seems like the wiser choice.. just need to invest in some new machine polishes too + other bits and bobs :)

Saphir or Glasur.

I doubt many people on here have even tried Glasur, but it's probably the best value of the premium waxes and nails nearly everything except for Titanium on durability <£200.

Concours offers a bit more bling, but it isn't nearly as durable, and is £160.

Also, you can get 10% off Zymol at Monza Car Care if you spend over £100 with a DW discount code.

BOS isn't £90 better than Onyx, but Saphir is a great wax if you go Swissvax, and certainly worth the extra £35 over Onyx.

As above. Saphir for 80£. IMO it is easier to apply than ONXY and does last fractionally longer. But Depth and finish is the same. As i'm sure vintage would be.

Yes, just the same... overpriced tripe iirc.

Tut.

"Knock knock"

"Who's there"

"Russ"

"Russ who?"

"Russ, i beleived all the shitty dodo marketing ploy and bought every product in the range when i should of bought Swissvax!"

;)

LOL - a pot of Supernatural and a pot of Orange Crush ;)

They sit behind my Onyx, Saphir and BOS. Oh and Vintage ;)

It's spot on tbh - I got sent a sample earlier in the year. Ezyme, I think it's £200 per pot, but it's 250ml, so not too bad value wise.

It didn't stay on for long though

My Victoria Concours is the cheapest wax I have but always the one I got to. Just bought the Werkstat Acrylic Kit for my Mondial Blue though. Clark over at Polished Bliss said 5 layers and it was up with Vintage.

Hello mate :)

Welcome to Wax Wars.

I'm waiting for them to get some more in stock - I'm going to use it over Winter I think. As nice as Vintage is, I like the idea of topping up quickly and easily with the Jeffs

*Edit* I hated the jeff's stuff. Gave it to the old man.

Gonna be about ease of use in the Winter, garage is full of bikes and motorbikes at the moment so a quick 2 minute top up will be handy Will be going back to wax come Spring.

I used Jeffs Acrylic Kit on mine, Was great I thought.... Simple to use, Good life span once a couple of layers applied and so simple and quick to use.

Currently Using my £24 tub of FK1000p on bodywork and wheels and loving it, Gives a Nice finish and lasts Months durability wise.... 1 coat so far has done me the best part of 5 months with the car being washed once a week, still getting really good beading.

The FK is cracking stuff to be fair. Do you have their shampoo and QD too? 1016 Shampoo is great for topping it, then use #425 QD as a Drying Aid :)

  Bumder With A Buffer
I have the #425 QD and it seems a lot better then Megs LT.

Car doesn't seem to pick up half as much dust as it did when using LT...maybe static charge build up???

No not got any, Using up the last of my Naff stuff (Megs Gold Class and Megs QD) before investing in some new gear... Based on the FK the shampoo and QD it will be a serious contender though!

Personally cant see the point in £100 pots of wax when I get a great finish from a £24 (MASSIVE) tub of FK ;)

Maybe if I was Flush and had something like a Bentley but at the end of a day I could polish my car with $4000 Wax and it would still only be a Clio ;)
