Best way of getting an xp admin password using linux?

Ye NTPASSWD is what I use although I found it is only good for clearing/reseting an account.

Winternals ERD Commander

We bought ours AGES ago, however you can get several versions on Newsgroups. Only a 60-90MB download

Tis ok. I just logged onto the other partition and I'm still able to play with the c drive.

Is buteforce still about? if you can get the .pwd list file. I remember back in the day this is how we got our colleges entire password list. That was running windows 98 though..

ntpass works great.
Boot from cd, type in ntpass press enter.
Let cd boot up, asks you for drive you wish, enter number of drive.
Select password change.
Select Administrator, type * (blanks password and removes it)
Select user account type *

type exit.

Job done.
