Best way of receiving TV? (Sky for xbox, etc)

Have just moved home for 2 weeks before i move to Southampton.

Cant get Freeview at my parents, we have Virgin Media Cable TV downstairs but no point getting multiroom for 2 weeks.

What other ways can i get TV? I have an Xbox and PS3 and my Macbook???

Is SKYplayer for Xbox worth subscribing too? Can you do it for just a month?

if you know anyone with sky multiroom you can use their subscription when you sign up. The on demand stuff is worth it, but i wouldnt pay for the channels.
