Best way to get 12v for Gauge

HI Folks,
What is the best way to get 12v + and - for a gauge. Its more than likely going to be A pillar mounted. I dont mind extending things to do things right.

Can i assume I want a switched feed? and is it possible to create such a thing in the bonnet fuse box or other with its own fuse?

you can get these, just plug it in to a original fuse location which has a ignition live
