best way to lift?

engine will be coming out soon, i have had a look and there doesnt seem to be anything to hook the chains too to lift the engine.

now ive noticed on a few build threads that people have 'plates with holes in' (sorry for the lack of technicality) on back left and front right of the engine. do i need these? where do i get them?

so, whats the best way to lift her out?
