Best Way to Mod a 1*2

I kinda noticed with clios they are easy to spoil when it comes to modifications. Unlike other cars e.g. golfs you can do all sorts to improve the look without it looking :dead:
If you was to mod it would it just be lowering and subtle mods or would you take it further?
imo lowering/wheel colour = best mod for appearance:)

why mod them at all? no need really.

granted, it makes sense to upgrade parts when they wear out, such as an exhaust system which is much cheaper than the genuine Renault item... but induction kits and wheels simply arent needed IMO.

  Golf R soon...
I have a modded 182...Its got an induction kit, exhaust, wheels and suspension.

There is a Reanult clio 1.2 sport, 1.4 sport and a 1.6 sport

1*2's are RenaultSport clios

just most people call 1*2 sports, but it's technically wrong.

no as it's a "sport" not a "RenaultSport" it's just a normal 1.2

  Ph 1 172
ive got a 1.2 and ive lowewed it and slapped alloys and a straight through exhaust...best mod i should of done..... IS SELL it lol

  black gold 182
oddly... its by far the quickest car ive owned and i still want to make it faster, its quicker than 95% of the cars i come across and you wont go faster for cheaper, so trying to spend big money on extra speed is a bit silly when i think about,

god ive only just thought about it

(dave) yup not alot of cars can give you grief, and it could deal with most that 'try it'
tuning isnt worth it imo (unless your tracking it),iv seen alot of threads about remapping etc and from what iv seen you dont get much from them, in comparision to a remapped tdi for example makes up for the weight and is noticeable

Suspension is worth while (not cheap stuff) and also brakes. Wouldnt bother trying to extract extra ponies out the engine, not worth it.

  Renault Clio S
FACT: A Clio Sport is a Clio Sport, whether you like it or not.

Ask any Clio (S) owner to show you the registration document and it will be listed as a Clio 1.2, 1.4 or 1.6 Sport.

The Sport reference is to the trim level and not performance related.

RenaultSport owners can be right snobs about the 'Sport' badge/label.

However, if you want to argue the finer details of true sports performance, I suggest you wave your RenaultSport credentials around a trackday forum and see how you measure up against true sports focused models, like a 911GT3 for instance.

Have fun.

I agree.

I suppose, if you want to modify it...put some Cup extras on it (splitter, spoiler etc) obviously providing it's not got any on it already :)

  Hondata'd EP3 Type R
I think the best way is 19" Rims, Wide arches and a body kit off a completely different car. All smoothed in and dropped on airbags.

  LY R26
Lowered on some decent suspension (H&R Coilovers)
4 Pot Brake conversion
Perhaps Anthracite Trophy Turini's...

...stand back and admire.
