I would of kept the elise and the clio
I would've kept the Elise, the original plan was to install the Autoteknix convertion at Guglieimi motorsport.
I went for a passenger ride in a an Elise which had been converted with the VAG 1.8 turbo running at 275 bhp. Bearing in mind it the car only had a curb weight of 750 kgs.
The ride was very thrilling indeed, 0-100 was coming up in 9 seconds. Even though I the suspension geometry could be adjusted to for such an increase in torque, I had my doubts. Then, once I'd purchased my Elise I had second thoughts about the whole project. Was gonna cost me 15K for a 300 bhp VAG conversion. A memorable ride nevertheless, intoxicating!!!!:star: :star: :star: :star: :star:
Only the likes of 500 hp Impreza's and Lancer's would keep up!
Needed a new car for my work and could stretch to owning a performance hatch covering circa 17K per year. The 182 Cup ate into my budget a little so I've decided get a Westfield for pleasure, either a Megabusa or an XE powered car with around 220 hp. Car should weigh no more than 570 kgs. Will be looking in the new year for one. Should be as quick as the VAG converted 300 hp Elise. With better handling and grip. Can't beat the feeling of cars that do 0-100 in less than 10 seconds!!!!
