Big bang from my car

Hi all
I had an all mighty bang from the front drivers side wheel when pulling out of a junction the other day, i honestly thought something had given up in suspension.
to my suprise there appeared to be nothing wrong, a quick inspection and off i drove - wiered eh?
Anyone shed any light? The thing has been parked up most of the winter.

Wouldnt be this problem all the 172/182 boys have with the engine knocking? (hits on the subframe i think) someone will be able to give you more info on this.

No ive had that problem and its sorted now
This was a major bang 10x louder.
I really did pap my knickers, imagine someone whackin the underneath of your car with a large hammer while you were sat in it - well thats what it sounded like but from the front right of the car.
So strange, kinda lost confidense in her for the time being.
