Bigger pistons!!

Has anybody done/heard of boring the block out to take larger capacity pistons, I.e from the girly 82.7mm to 86/88mm?

These engines are in my opinion stroked 1800 blocks and there has got to be someone who has experimented?

Have had loads of these apart when doing head jobs etc but never paid any attention to the bore wall thickness, it's prob not possible as I'm pretty sure they are fairly close and it's prob not possible to take them out anymore..

What do eeee think?

The cylinder wall lining is too thin to make it viable and worthwhile.

You'd probably get away with 84mm but no more than that

I'd say not because as above it's already based on a 1.8 or less i think. Generally a 2.0 will be about 86mm bore.

Not really, its already a stroker (93mm)
F-engine started life as 1721cc and grew to 1998cc by larger bore and stroke from factory.
