I have a 2001 Y reg 1.4 clio mk2 I think and was wondering what are the biggest and widest tyres that would fit on there nicely with no probems?

I have 17's and never ever had any problems, even on standard suspension can have 3 (4 can go not that i would :rasp: ) and they seem all good to me. Most people on here would say too big, but its individual taste. But i promise ya, if you put it on 17's you'll want to lower it!!! badly

a mate with a mk2 clio 1.2 16v

There was a clio around with 19s on.

17s fit on with no modifications needed, providing the offset is correct, and don't mess up gearing and offset too noticeably.

Ride and handling suffer though IMO.

on my old clio mk2, i have 17's tsw black rockets (if ya can find out the dimensions of them tyres) and there was no rubbing and problems even lowered 45mm with 3 people in the back.

18's fit alright lowered but the rear arches need to be rolled
