Hopefully someone can help, I've sent @Rob an email with some sample files attached to see what he thinks.

We now have a few clients asking for these BIM files, so we need to start creating them for our products. Is this easy? How easy is it to manipulate existing files to show what we want etc?

Thanks
Ant

I'll take a look shortly.

What is it you do/make

Of those files you have mentioned,

RFA is a Revit family file and is BIM
3DS is an old 3DS Max file format 1996 (now changed to .MAX) and is not BIM.

I went to see Rob last week about it, I'm all up to speed with it now so that's good.

We make light fittings.

Now just to convince my boss I need new laptops and software!
