bird in my engine

When i start my car in the morning and engine is cold there is a sound like there is a bird wistling inside my engine bay, it goes away when the car gets a bit warm, but then it's replaced by a whinning (almost supercharger) sound, and it's doing my head in.

Are the aux belt tensioners to blame? or could it be something else?

opinions much appreciated.

IIRC this can be caused with a bearing in the water pump..

So what do i do?
Change the aux belt tensioners, water pump and both intake gaskets just to be safe?

When my aux tensioner went it sounded like a supercharger for a while. A local garage assessed it for me and fixed it.

Most likly its due a cambelt or aux belt chnage and the tensioners are whining
