Bit of help Identifying this

as it says in the title im unsure of what this piece is in the picure, i have seen multiple pictures on here with the plenum removed and it hasnt got that piece sticking out the top. could any1 enlighten me why mine does????

I'm pretty sure thats normal mate, is it right in the middle/back? like below where the coilpack would sit?

ye thats wer it is but every1 else's pictures i have been looking at hast got the petruding part

thats the vaccum for the carbon canistor

you will have seen 182's, they don't have a sticky up bit
