Black Plastic rear bumper on facelift

Will the black plastic section come away from the rest of the bumper on a new facelift Clio? Is it an insert, like on the front bumper?

If so how easy is it to take off?

i dont think so i think bumper is one piece

ah, im sure there is a post by fred2001 somewhere. im sure the plastic bits do come out.

all the black plastic parts are removable inserts

havent figured out how to rmove the rears though, the front i know are six clips on each insert

Best way is to remove rear bumper complete and push the clips thru. from the other side so as not to damage the trim or bumper.

and whats the best to remove the entire rear bumper?

Open the tailgate and u will see two big screws, undo these, then under the bumper u will see two 10mm bolts, take these out. Next in wheel arch u will find a screw on the bumper edge and poss. one just underneath, take these out. U may also find on the arch liner what they call a mushroom plug which u will also have to remove with a screwdriver. Pull the arch liner back slightly to gain access to the final two 10mm bolts which r up where the bumper joins the rear wing. Hope this is of help to u.

Forgot 2 say u then pull bumper back away from car, best done with the help of a friend.
