Bloody dashboard

I wanted to remove my dashboard this weekend to remove my infra red remote interface prior to installing my screen later this week.

Thanks to the brilliant instructions in the articles section I got all the screws out no problems.

Started to lift up.....drivers side no problems passenger side was sticking, got it off the clips on the front of the glove box ok but it was sticking around the base of the A pillar. I have had a Concept 300 fitted and the antenna is in the top left hand corner of the windscreen with the wire running down the inside of the trim on the A pillar. I guess this is pushing the trim out against the dash. I pulled and I pulled (and huffed and puffed) but the feckin thing wouldnt shift!

Any ideas????

Thanks

are you removing the dashboard or the dash top? if its the dash top then it will be stuck on the clip near the airbag.press down on the dash near the windscreen vents at the same time as pulling the dash top towards you.i must admit sometimes there a right c**t.

dash top I think?! the thing is referred to in the article in the members articles section! the thing that lets me gain access to the top of the airbag etc etc (not that i want access to the top of the airbag!!)

will try that with that extra clip cheers for that

Thought of taking the a pillar trims off but they seemed really stiff and I didnt want to get them off and not get them back on again!!

will try again when i get my screen!!

removing the a-pillars requires firstly removing the door seal, lifting the trim lightly and releasing the clips using a screwdriver to press them in, easy peasy part of removing the dash! :)
