Bloody Insurance Company...

Kneel, they're still £715 short of the glass's guide! I know that's not a great deal of money but it is when they're taking off £1200 for my excess (which i know is my fault!!!!!).

Every aspect is the same in insurance, health, building just waiting to screw you over when you try to claim.

Happy to take your money but trying to get some back is the hard part!

Sad times!

not always true mate, unfortunately like anything you always hear the horror stories rather than the good that comes out of them.

Not taking awa from the fact that insurance companys can be difficult to deal with unless evey person gets every penny they want wether they are entitled to it or not the company will always get slated.

Most people think that as soon as they take out insurance they are automatically entitled to everything clearly thats not a risk they are going to take. Perfect example is people who dont do a bit of maintenance on their house, pipe bursts house flooded they just expect the insurance company to pick up the bill. why should they? if you cant be fucked maintaining your house no one else should be responsible for fixing it. I know its completely different from the discussion on here but it just shows how many people look through tinted glasses at insurance.

I can see why the op is pissed and tbh so would I as the company are in the wrong here as the contract does say they will give the PAV at the date of the incident.

I know I work for an insurance company and I am not trying to defend their actions as i stated they are wrong.

I'm also a bit pissed off with the fact that the insurance company has done nothing but take ridiculous sums of money off me for the last 5 years and the only time in that period I have to actually use what i'm paying for and they try screwing me!!!!

That's what they do Steve. I'm not saying you deserve all that money just because you've paid insurance over the years and not claimed but they shouldn't drag their heels as much as they do.

On a side note to kenny, my mum and dad have house building and contents insurance including the garage, the garage partially collapsed and the roof fell in during the heavy snow, the guy put it down as wear and tear and threw the claim out.
I think they pay nearly £200 a month insurance to me that's not fair, it was a cracking garage and wear and tear is such a cop out.
