Blowing Exhaust...??

  BMW M3
Hi there,

Just recently had a Janspeed backbox put on my 182 and am really happy with it. However, its fine when just pottering about but when i push hard on the throttle, I can hear a hissing noise coming from underneath the car. Had my inlets recenlty matched and can sometimes hear the improved airflow but nothing as regular as this new hissing.

Just wondering if any of you think it would be worth getting them to have a look to see if they havent fitted it right, or if im just being thick.

Thanks

You can have a look your'e self just give it a hrad shake and if it moves in the wrong places consider tightening it up. I seem to remember they do not have lock nuts due to the nylon melting i won't hurt and you may save yourself a bit of money.

Well, just had the car on the axle stands and everything is tightened up fine. So i started the car and pressed the throttle with my hand while looking underneath there was some water on the bottom of the cat which would spray out if i pushed the throttle harder, indicating air escaping. So do i need a new cat or is this normal.

But surely if it is a gap, then it would be loud as hell and not just some faint hissing. Similar to a turbo wizz noise....

Anyone have any suggestions?
