Blue smoke from exhaust HELP?

Hi everyone,

My clio recently started spouting a lot of smoke from the exhaust on start up. I've heard this is usually an oil problem as
there seems to be a blue tint to it. There is oil leaking somewhere at the back of the engine. My first guess is the head gasket?
Am I correct or is there other more likely possibilities? Just don't want to replace the gasket if its not needed.

you could do with a leak test could be rings or head gasket. what engine is it

Could be valve stem seals

Its a 1.2 8v, non sport mk2 ph1. not sure on any serial numbers, can get these if it would help though?

Valve stem seals/valve guides. Bet it blue smokes on over run too when driving

well get it tested but imo youll get and engine for about 150 from scrappies
