Blue tip on light-headlining 182

what is it? its on the top near the centre light towards the rear. I understand there is a fan towards the front, wondering what it is thats all

Are you talking about the plastic moulding that contains the maplight/general light above the rear view mirror?

Looks like a little blue led, but no idea what its there for.

I didnt have it on my 172.

Yes, sun position sensor . Most CC systems need one to work correctly.

This got mentioned a while ago and I dont think we go to the bottom of it then. Whatever it is it wasnt on the 172.
