Blurry text

Is my monitor on it's way out? Text is really blurry and it's hurting my eyes Games work ok and seems clear.

Only way text is clear is if I have the res set to 1024x768, but that makes the text mahoooosive :s

Found out what was wrong Monitor 'blew up' this morning lol nice bit of smoke came out the back
