Fitted a CDA to relace a K&N IK my car came with that just sucked in hot air.

As I had no standard box it was the only option available to me, other than buying a new airbox. Replacement filter in Airbox for an ITG is supposed to b best per £ but CDA is goodif you get a proper throttle body adaptor to mount it with. CDA is cheap compared to Viper and Maxogen but you do have to factor in cost of breather filters, throttle body adaptor and silicone hose to join the two. So would come to near £200 so if can fit a £20 ITG filter do that.

Did notice a good difference over the K&N, but then a K&N in summer is not the best thing to have. Apart from perhaps deeper noise which most IK's give you, all the CDA has done is give me back sealed box induction like I would have had if there was an airbox in my car. Ran 148bhp on rollers with the BMC, Magnex inc Decat and BBPT chip. May not be much better than a air box with ITG filter but wouldn't know as didn't have the choice.
