BMC CDAs

  The Jinx

Do they improve low down response, particularly on valvers? I have a K&N on at the mo (was on the car when I bought it) and the response up some hills today was shat. I had Willys kissing my rear all the time when we nailed it to overtake people.

Oh yes, my K&N that came on the car when I bought it just made a loud noise and sucked in hot air.

BMC is a great bit of kit but you have to get a throttle body adaptor fabricated or but the one KTEC have made for their viper, if they will sell seperately.

You can compare against pics of viper on KTEC website. I prefer the cold feed being at the back away from the radiator and run the cold air feed down and then towards the front.

Nope, got it engineered myself. This is the problem with the CDA, either draw what you want and get it fabricated or hopefully now obtain from KTEC.

That look great! I want one! where do I get one from? and where is the inlet?

Cheers.

Available from most places but need teh throttle body adaptor from either KTEC or made up yourself. I just drew round throttle body inc holes, bolt lengths etc and got someone to make the same but with a lip on to allow silicone hose attachment.

Inlet is at back of engine bay near coolant bottle. Running tubing that came with the CDA ran downwards and scooped to wards the front. Gonna get proper air feed and hose from Demon Tweeks as per their motorsport catalogue to fit a scoop on bumper somewhere.
