I can't see a 220bhp keepin up with the M3 tbh...Weird. The V6 isn't much slower that a semi stripped 208bhp TB'd clio and the M3 is alot faster than the clio...

Hummm!

Fast clio, I think it proves what tosh people talk when they say their 200BHP clio beats an M3 to 100MPH; yeah right.

s3 was f00king quick off the line, 4wheel drive and lsd??

clio seems to keep with m3 rather well..m3 changing gears abit early me thinks..

the s3 should have been quicker imo, clio does very well indeed but m3 should be hooking up off the line much better.

my s3 doesnt have a fmic,miltek or fuelpump and still has no problems with a standard m3. With those mods that s3 should have around 370 bhp and around 360 ib/ft of torque.

My pals S3 is 310bhp, and i pulled on him..."not with ease" but there was a performance gap.

every car is different i guess,im basing my experience on my brothers m3 and a friends m3. Generally speaking a remapped s3 will be slightly quicker than an m3 (the m3 has a better 2nd gear imo).

De-limit the m3 :)

Lol at everyone saying thats a slow m3, must be changing at 4k etc.

Look at the power to weight ratio: bmw is 220bhp/ton the clio is 230bhp/ton.

Sounds about right to me. The s3 seems to pull very well! Wish my tt was that quick lol

If you go by real figures the M3 is quite a way down but as soon as you get to higher speeds the m3 should t have much problem pulling away.
