Started a project at my local BMX park last night, plan to follow five riders for a few months.
Started off with a few portraits, and sat and watched to see how good and if at all worth following them......"shocked'
A guy called Lloydy simply awesome, could perform pretty much any trick on demand.

I plan to hook up with them next week to see some street riding in action, which tbh is more the kind of stuff I want to capture.
After this project I hope to find some guys into free running.

anyway sit back and monitor this thread as add week by week.

Key light camera right with a brolly, and rear light snooted.....

Anyone using a MAC/Aperture 3 ? if so I am using two plug ins at the moment for my personal work, Colour/Silver Efex pro.
I have stuck these through Silver Efex pro to give some punch, love it so far.

Too harsh for some I expect.

Silver Efex Pro is awesome, I use that too for B+W shots.

Silver Efex gives an almost HDR quality to those shots. Really like it TBH.

Had major issues with my 70-210 so had to use the kit lens..

No ps done yet but think i'll auto level and border when i have time

^^ Nice captures. They would benefit from some fill in flash to light the skaters/ bmxers against the sky.

Cheers. Agreed about the flash but i am so poor atm!! The weather that day was weird too - the light conditions were constantly changing and working with the kit lens was sh!t!!
Hopefully though when i get a bit of spare cash i'll get a couple of flash's and some new glass.
