  renault clio 1.4 si 2000
hi guys! finally got a few days off so lookin at finishin(ish) my install... however, im a total newbie, just learned to drive, and would appreciate any comments!!! lol

got an alpine 9845 headunit, type r components and 6x9's, a 250 watt v-power amp to power 2 dirt cheap mutant 12"

i've used fusion's wiring kit, with a monster power and earth cable, plus a giant fuse.
now this seems ok to me... what im wondering is the power is a little thick and the terminals too big for my amp.. can i get a distribution block, and then run a thinner cable to my amp? iwas thinking of getting a second amp to power the others anyway.
also while we're on the subject, i only have one pre-out, so do i need a new head unit? my m8 seems to reckon i can split the rca, but that seems a bit dodgy...
any input? i dont want to blow anything up!!! cheers :)

Best to get a distribution block mate yes. If you have a 4 Guage power cable running from your battery to the dist block, then run 8 guage to your amp, that should easily be enough to power the kind of amp you have.

As for the second amp and only one pre-out. In my opinion I would get a new headunit as you probly dont want the same signals being sent to each amp as they will probably be used for different purposes (ie, bass and mid-range).

Hope this helps.
