Body Coloured Grill

Has anyone had their main grill on a 172/182 painted to match the body colour? I was thinking of having this done, just wanted to know if there were any pics or how people think it would look.

ie thought about it, and then decided it would look better in black or just meshed i wouldnt mind gettin hold of a 172 style grille tho they look nicer than the one on my dynamique

once saw a cup with colour coded grills on the front. i thought it looked nice

as my car is black, i think it would be a fairly subtle change, so it wouldnt stand out loads anyway. Ill post some pics if i get it done.

I wouldnt go silver, thats for sure! Just thinking maybe the black gold would finish it off nicely.

Im planning Silver on my silver 172 - colour CODING. Hopefully it wont look "Gash", but if it does then Ill just dunk it in Nitromors for an hour!

I think silver on a siver car will look alright, hence the colour coding. what I meant was I wouldnt go silver on mine, as my car is black.

i wouldnt except on a black car, think the grills break up the colour well.

could always photshop and see.

there was a blue Mk2 172 with silver top and lower grill on ebay, that looked proper sh*te!!
