how much do you reckon it would cost me to have the following done


bonnet sprayed
bumper blown over
drivers door blown over
rear drivers side 1/4 blown over
splitter sprayed
my mate had some mirrors and base plates sprayed for £40, and his brother had a front bumper sprayed and some skirts sprayed, both fitted, for £250, this is at the bodyshop im gonna be goin to

so im hopin that lot wont go over £300.....

what do you lot reckon i should be payin for that ?................i know the best thing would be to ring them but i wanna get an idea first of what i should be payin....

cos even for the blow over they will need to rub it back, prime it then spray and laquer.



will be cheaper if u prep it your self

ne cheaper than that and tbh dont really expect a good job.

Id say £500 if you want a quality job with good quality paint and lacquer.

£550 is probably about right including all the labour of taking them off, putting them back on etc..

malice is about right with the prices....but they dont need to prime it just to blow over it.......... it depends on what kind of finish you are trying to achieve......if the bumper has alot of stone chips..(which im guessing it has)...then yes it needs to be rubbed down, primed etc.... if you just want a quick finish....I.E on the o/s/r quater panel...then they just need to 800 wet block it down & paint it.

£300....ha ha ha ....youll be lucky ! & if you dont know what your doing......DONT self prep it !

Nah not completly right.. cause if you did it his way you would have a very shiny primer on the bumper

mate ul be paying more than that! i paid best part of 550quid for a badboy n respray bonnet n respray front bumper!! but it is top quailty work! oh and the plastic trims colour coded all round the car

BRUB I know a really good local body shop to me, not too far for you, Speakmans in orrell. Really cheap and do a top nothc job, repaired a corsa of my mates which involve repairing wing and door and respray both, with new strips and badges for £190 inc vat. Was a mint job. If you wont more info Pm me and I will give you directions, definitley worth getting a quote offf them, as its straight forward painting I would expect them to be the cheapest, around.

I had a qoute for a full glass out respray de-locked de-badged and fully colour coded on my XR2i for £950 cash and for that he promised it would be a showroom finish.

You will virtually pass by it. Do you know where the stag pub is at Orrell post, next to that is a new place called Orrell Autos. Next to that is Speakmans, theyre in the Thompson Directory. Do not be decieved by the look of the place (Looks like a farm yard, lol). I really rate them and I have put up with having no car in return for having them do it, cause they do a first class job.

ive worked out my finances again and im quite shocked, so ill only be gettin the bumper blown over and my 16v bonnet sprayed up......

you lot reckon its possible to get a decent job done on those 2 for £150, bearin in mind if the job is good then i could put some business there way through working for Motor World....
