hi peeps, having a little problem. i used to not be able to lock my car with the bonnet open but now i can? is there a sensor somewhere and if so, how do i find it and plug it back in? any help please
i had a look on my break at work and still cant find it. can do me huge favour and take a pic of it for me? ive found a little plug hanging behind the front grille (passenger side)
its part of the requirement for thatcham cat 1 i think
as above its a little push button mine is along the edge on the back towards the scuttle panel above the alarm but mines a laserline one
That pic you just posted up - where the white plug type thing is on your grill, that's where the alarm sensor sits if it's a standard Renault item. That hanging wire doesn't look the standard connector to me though :S Has it definitely got an alarm?
yeh it definately has as it went off today. the bonnet can stay open and can lock the car. never used to be able to lock car when bonnet was lifted but suddenly can now. am i missing something on my grill then (white plug)? cheers
Yep definitely missing the alarm sensor, as I said that round yellowy plastic thing sitting in your grill, that's where the alarm sensor should sit. It's a grey plastic circle with a black nib sticking out of it.
