Bonnet Catches

Who has had actualy theres come open? Mine has just done it. I set off from my brothers office and got home locked the car, then the alarm beeped to say a door is open and on further inspection the bonnet was open. I only drove about 1/2 of mile.

is it rusted? or was it not shut properly? its mainly becuase the metal slide not locating against the part on the bonnet itself..... problem is the emergency hook parts (that holds it in the popped position) is a poor design and can't hold the bonnet at high speed... usually resulting in it blowing open..

It was serviced 3 weeks ago and it was on the list of jobs to be done. It is not rusty.

^If it was done at the garage in preston they won't have done it. Never did mine when I asked so did it myself.

My mum's went into Kitchens Lee and they left the bonnet open! We only realised when we got home having driven at 70~mph down the motorway for 5 miles!
