Bonnet paint bubbling and peeling on corners

  Suzuki Ignis Sport
I have a 54 plate Clio and the paints starting to bubble and peel on the corners and rust. It's not extremely bad but its definetely taking a hold. Is there anything I can do to prevent it? It's had to Kurust on it and a bit of touchup paint but still comes back. It's gradually getting bigger and worse!

Best thing is to either get a replacement bonnet from a Renault breakers yard ,or get it sanded down and resprayed (depending on how deep and bad the rust is)

I jet washed it off and all the bubbled paint come off! Looked a right mess. Will take it to a body shop to see what they can do :) cheerw!

To me it sounds like it's already had the bonnet replaced at some point, they're not prone to rusting/peeling as standard.

Once the rust sets in its always going to come back, new/second hand bonnet is probably the best option if you plan on keeping it for a while.

Not sure what you mean? Why would it have been replaced then if they arent prone to rusting or peeling? Cheers mate. Might just leave touch up paint on it, no point throwing £100's at a bit of rust. Might aswell just knock it off re-sale!

The old bonnet may have been damaged at some point for whatever reason and they've just replaced it.

Before you panic, no that doesn't necessarily mean it's been smashed Lol.
