Nice work fella! B/G looks amazing when it has that 'just waxed' look.. that'll be about 10 minutes untill the dust settles.. lol I think its about time I bit the bullet and gave the Vee some clay bar attention. I've held back before as I've never used the stuff and i'm scared shitless about putting any acratches on it, as I know how soft the paint is.. Have you used it before, or is this ya first time.. how was it?

Cheers mate, yeah I have had to invest in lots of quik detailer since swapping from a silver to black car :dapprove:

I've used sonus green clay for about two years now but its not hard to use at all and as long as you don't use a lot of pressure you wont scratch your paint. Go for it ! its easy :)

Claying is very easy fella. Just need to read up about it. You will more than likely not need a harsh clay bar, as there is less likely to be overspray etc.

My advice would be to buy the Megs Smooth Surface clay kit from Halfrauds and give that a go. There are instructions on the back etc, but there are also many many threads on claying over the last week or so in this part of the forum.

Any questions, feel free to PM me.

Cheers guys. I took the first step last year and bought some Megs Smooth Surface Clay. Its still in the box lol. The car 'looks' great as it is, but I feel there's room for improvement.. certainly the tail gate has collected some 'fall-out' and roughness. Too late to do it before WSR now though. We have a show in a couple of weeks at Kimbolton, so will get it done for that.

Thanks again!!!

No worries lad, but remember that the clay will put in tiny TINY marks, so you will need to polish as you usually would, then seal afterwards.

Wash, clay, wash, polish, seal, wax.

2 layers is enough and even 2 layers is all in your head tbh. 1 would suffice! Lols.
