Bonnet release no tension

Hi.

My bonnet release has totally lost tention thus not popping the bonnet.

I have searched around but not found anything conclusive.

Any ideas?

While pulling on the handle try pressing the bonnet down, might just let you open it.

Mine was like this, always had to have someone at the front lifting it up to get into the bonnet.

One day i was trying to open the bonnet alot so wedged a bottle under it and it lifted the handle more than normal and its been fine since, so maybe trying pushing the handle as high as possible?

Take it to Renault and get them to replace it. They should have all been recalled by now .. mk2's that is...

Managed to get it open by getting someone else to push down on it as advised, after a fiddle it appears to work!

Great news. Still, take it to Renault in the morning and get them to replace it free of charge.
