Bonnet wont lock down

Opened my bonnet to check some bits but now it doesnt lock back down! The cable from the opening leaver seems to be working fine but I assume something must be stuck somewhere. Ive read on here abouts peoples bonnets opening while driving but it doesnt seem my problem is quite like that?

What can I do to fix this? Ive lobbed alot of WD40 over it and about to go out and check it over again.

Fixed! The WD40 seemed to do the trick after leaving it for 15 minutes or so

Catch is now out further than it has ever been!

Sounds like you were on your way to being one of those whose bonnets flew open tbh mate . Probably a god send it stuck open while you had the bonnet up and not down

Also sounds like youv stretched the cable, if that breaks its real fun tryna get the bonnet open LOL be careful with it
