bonnet wont shut !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hello guys i opened my bonnet today and it was stiff to open but it opened anyway i went to shut it and it wont shut???? when i pull the bonnet cable i can still hear it moving and i have tryed WD40, i dont know if its because of the cold weather or its just buggered!

try pushing the lever under bonnet back (opposite what you would do to release it)

the cable will still go back and forth but the little blade looking bit in the middle
of the lock will be all the way to one side.
look behind the front panel for the spring on the lock.
it will be stuck in position, get grips and pull it back and forth with wd40.
just slight rust, the main cause for bonnets flying up im afraid.

Clean it up properly, grease up and move all the joints while doing it. Should shut by then, then book it in at renault whole will replace it for free
