Boot lock does not lock !!!!!!!

ive noticed that the boot lock does not lock when i lock the car on the remote.

took the panel off, noticed one of the connector wasnt connected. connected it up but still no joy !

is it like the motor has gone ? can hear ant switching when locking

can i just get another motor mecahnism froma scrapyard and put it on ?

anyone else had this problem ?

if its a mk 2 ph 2 the boot solenoid is a common problem, quite easy to fit and available from all scrappys/ebay

Had this problem on my old clio. The boot solenoid was broken. found a new one for very cheap and swapped it straight over, very easy to do

Scrap yard or eBay is your best bet. Picked mine up for £10 months ago

I've got this issue with my boot locking. Does anybody know if any boot solenoid off a Clio will work or does it have to be off a 172?

i found lots of issues with my boot,due to the metalu bolt type connector in the middle of the bumper sticking out, it moves freely up and down , if its down it wont lock, if its up it will...try that - just my 2 cents anyway...

It locks but not all the time. When it does lock it's with a slight delay after the doors locking.
