Boot lock

Key wont turn it! Tried taking it apart earlier but unsuccesful. Anyone point me towards fault/remedy? Thanks

Is it the right key ??

If not you have to go in from the back of the tail gate. Remove the rear panel and take out the lock. See if it will work with some wd40 if not get a new one.

Key fits all other locks on the car, tried the wd40, no joy as yet. I've had the lock out but could not get the barrel out of the lock assembly. Breakers wont sell me just a boot lock, gotta buy a whole lock set!

It can't be that expensive from renault. Just one lock shouldn't be a prob.

Try injecting some really thick grease or Vaseline into the lock then jiggle the key as you try to turn it.
Lubricating it with WD40 or thin oil will be good if it was working but the last thing you want is all the tumblers falling into place if the key isn't holding them.

When you do get it open, you can clean and re-lubricate it.

I have the same problem, does anyone know where i can buy a replacement other than the main dealer?
