Boot lock

  Jap Box
Hi,

Does anyone know if I can have a new boot lock made up?

This is where it starts to get tricky, my car has the locks from my old car on there (Which is now scrapped) and im pretty sure ive lost the VIN number for the car to provide renault with.

I have the ignition barrel and two door locks, the only odd lock is now the boot. Its not much trouble really but id like them to all be the same so I dont have the trouble of carrying two keys around all the time.

Also im wanting the get one of my keys coded to the car, its the infared type but will need the key blade cut to my old cars pattern and have the board coded to my current car. Will this be an issue?

Really is a pain in the arse lock wise at the moment.

Ive still got the reg number from the old car along with a receipt of purchase and possibly even the MOT certificate, V5 I think has been lost.

if you can get a boot lock made up im betting it will cost a fer bit, much rather carry a 2nd key around with me, cant you get kits when you press a button on a fob and the boot opens sure ive seen them before

just get a whole new locking system? or a solenoid so that you push a button on teh dash and the boot opens?

Hmm, just had a thought, if clio_stu still has his smoothed over boot this sounds like the perfect excuse to spend some money on it!
