Boot panel removal

Hi all, im having trouble with my boot. It doesnt lock for some reason so i need to get that little panel off the back to see whats going on.

Can somebody tell me how to do this without breaking anything?

I see only 1 screw next to the handle.

Also it seems loose already from the last owner so getting it back on might prove harder.

Thanks

Never mind ive got it off nicely although i could do with some new of those little black clips that snap on are they easy to come buy?

Anyway i may aswel carry on posting here.

When locking the car, nothing moves or makes a sound here. Could somebody tell me what i should be checking?

Thanks

Mine did same thing a couple of days ago...I had no idea, but the mechanism is the same as on the door...its a piece of plastic which moves the metal bar to hold the button in place. I would also give it a blast with WD40 as that can help if anything untowards has gotten in there.

Ive just been out actually, so i tried what you said and nothing changed. what is that clear pipe connected to the locking mechanism. It just looks full of cr*p to me.

If you see the picture above, the right hand side arrow...when the button is pressed (with the cable connected) it should move slightly where the spring is...so it moves to the right or left depending on whether its stopping the button from being pressed (locked) or not.
Are you sure the plastic clips are broke? They may need some persuasion to reclip. If they are bust, I would say to give Ad @ Renault Wolverhampton a call as he can get a good price on most things Renault. :)

No its not moving at all mate, I think a replacement sounds in order. Not sure of my options ive tried eBay and for new parts theres no button ones they all use a different key...

I say broke, a few are missing which im assuming they broke off at some point before i had the car.

Whos Ad somebody i can call just for a quote?

Thanks
