Boot Solenoid.

Car  Clio 182 - RB
Rang Renault Macclesfield today asking for a boot solenoid, they guy then replied 'is it a 2 bolt or a 3 bolt fitting' which i didn't know.

Any help?

Its a Clio 182 54 plate.

3 bolt. before getting a new one, unbolt it - then remove the one torx screw and rotate the cogs a few times, this usually fixes it. Also test it by removing the cogs, plug the motor unit in to the plug and press the keyfob, you should see the motor spin quickly.

I thought it was 3 bolts too, remember from when i changed my rear badge and button. Was just confused and would rather be safe than sorry!

Cheers @optical, could potentially save me the best part of £60!

For comparison. My used one from a clio in a scrapyard cost 4 quid...

You can fix it 15x for what Renault charge for once.
